In this action, Nagel Rice attorneys Bruce Nagel, Robert Solomon and Andrew O’Connor contended that the defendant anesthesiologist failed to adequately monitor the blood sugar of a 68-year old patient before doing elective laparoscopic surgery. As a result, the patient suffered cardiac arrest falling into a coma, which lasted four years before the patient’s death. The decedent left a husband and two adult children. The case settled prior to trial for $1,500,000.
